Materials: Genuine, solid, natural labradorite and .925 solid sterling silver.
Stone quality/specs: High polish labradorite with excellent colorplay (wonderful violet/lavender/purple/blue). Note that labradorite is a chatoyant (irrridescent) stone. The colors are created by light refracting within layers in the stone, and so the colors you see depend on the viewing angle. This is a AAA stone with good colorplay visible from nearly all angles. The 'cracks' are not cracks but inclusions in the stone. The surface has a high gloss polish.
Description: It may seem silly, but I am so excited about this one. It's very rare to find good labradorite with these colors, especially since the colorplay is visible from so many angles. This stone appears a pale grey color, and as you turn it beautiful violet and amethyst colors flash across it. It has a touch of blues and richer magenta in one area. It is lovely on both sides and can be worn with either side facing. I created a weave pattern with the silver across the top for an old fashioned look.
Recommended necklace size: This pendant will work on thicker necklaces; recommended 1mm or larger.
Size: Please see above photo for dimensions. Pendant is pictured with a U.S. Dime for size reference. (Hint: if you are having a hard time picturing the size of this pendant, scale the above photo so that the dime is the size of a real dime on your screen. The pendant will then be at actual size.)
