Trinity Ammolite Pendant
Please see image for pendant size and dimensions. The dime is included in the photo above for size reference.
This is a stunning and vibrant piece of ammolite set with .925 sterling silver wire. Ammolite is formed when the fossilized shells of ammonites (an extinct aquatic creature that lived millions of years ago) were crushed over millions of years, and the mother-of-pearl shells were impregnated with other trace elements to create fascinating flashes of color. This piece of ammolite has a gorgeous crackle-pattern that flashes with strong colors. The stone is mostly red and green, with subtle yellows and bronzes mixed in. Green dominates this stone though and the color rolls as you look at it from different angles. Any ammolite jewelry collector knows that larger pieces of ammolite are becoming more and more rare. This is a solid piece of ammolite, NOT a doublet. This valuable stone has a high polish finish. This pendant is moderately sized and will look best with a rigid slide/choker or a moderate to heavy chain. This is a one of a kind pendant.
