Materials: Solid Tiger's Eye stones and Argentium Sterling Silver.
Argentium Sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy. It is a true Sterling silver and contains 92.5% silver just as all other Sterling Silvers do, however it has many advantages over normal Sterling Silver. Traditional Sterling is made with a 7.5% copper alloy to give it enough hardness to create jewelry with. Argentium Sterling Silver instead has an alloy of Germanium. This means that Argentium Sterling Silver is extremely tarnish resistant, is somewhat harder to scratch, and does not cause allergies in for most people that are sensitive to Sterling Silver. Nearly everyone that suffers from allergy problems with traditional Sterling Silver find that they do not experience problems with Argentium Sterling Silver. Further, because Argentium Sterling Silver does not produce firescale, it does not require chemical treatments like traditional sterling silver does and therefore is far more environmentally friendly.
Stone quality/specs: Well cut and polished Tiger's Eye stones with central drilled hole. Tiger's Eye is a chatoyant gemstone- that means that as light strikes it from different angles you will observe a difference in intensity of reflected color. Tiger's Eye contains silica fibers oriented in parallel bands, creating the 'cat's eye' effect.
Description: There are three pendants offered here and each is different, so use care in your purchase selection! Each has been woven with Argentium silver in a different style. These pendants are simple and light but very pretty with the tawny browns and golds. As you shift them from side to side the gold 'rolls' across the surface.
Recommended necklace size: This pendant does not come with a chain/necklace. This pendant will look nice on any size chain or collar.
