Materials: Genuine, solid labradorite and Argentium Sterling Silver.
Argentium Sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy. It is a true Sterling silver and contains 92.5% silver just as all other Sterling Silvers do, however it has many advantages over normal Sterling Silver. Traditional Sterling is made with a 7.5% copper alloy to give it enough hardness to create jewelry with. Argentium Sterling Silver instead has an alloy of Germanium. This means that Argentium Sterling Silver is extremely tarnish resistant, is somewhat harder to scratch, and does not cause allergies in for most people that are sensitive to Sterling Silver. Nearly everyone that suffers from allergy problems with traditional Sterling Silver find that they do not experience problems with Argentium Sterling Silver. Further, because Argentium Sterling Silver does not produce firescale, it does not require chemical treatments like traditional sterling silver does and therefore is far more environmentally friendly.
Stone quality/specs: High polish labradorite with excellent colorplay. Note that labradorite is a chatoyant (irridescent) stone. The colors are created by light refracting within layers in the stone, and so the colors you see depend on the viewing angle. Some stones only show color from some angles. Keep in mind that these photos are meant to try and show these colors! Some stones only show the colors as photoed above from certain viewing directions. This stone in particular is a great stone with colorplay from many angles.
Description: This is a pretty, smaller pendant for those that love blue! The blues in this stone roll across the entire surface of the front form mnay angles, and from one angle on the back. The color is hard to describe, because it changes as you move the stone, however it is overall a lovely sky blue that can shift to cyan or even a deep ultramarine. There is just a hint of amber gold in this stone. Both sides are highly polished.
