Materials: Genuine, solid Onyx and Argentium Sterling Silver.

Argentium Sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy. It is a true Sterling silver and contains 92.5% silver just as all other Sterling Silvers do, however it has many advantages over normal Sterling Silver. Traditional Sterling is made with a 7.5% copper alloy to give it enough hardness to create jewelry with. Argentium Sterling Silver instead has an alloy of Germanium. This means that Argentium Sterling Silver is extremely tarnish resistant, is somewhat harder to scratch, and does not cause allergies in for most people that are sensitive to Sterling Silver. Nearly everyone that suffers from allergy problems with traditional Sterling Silver find that they do not experience problems with Argentium Sterling Silver. Further, because Argentium Sterling Silver does not produce firescale, it does not require chemical treatments like traditional sterling silver does and therefore is far more environmentally friendly.

Stone quality/specs: Nice, larger round-cut onyx focal bead. Onyx is a type of silicate, in the same group as Japser, Tiger's Eye, and agate.

Description: I was really overwhelmed with response to my last 'black hole' pendant, which was made with rainbow obsidian. This one is made with larger onyx, and is a lovely rich deep black with a great polish! A simple and striking pendant.

Recommended necklace size: This pendant does not come with a chain/necklace. This pendant will look nice on any size chain.
