Materials: Genuine, solid labradorite and Argentium Sterling Silver.
Argentium Sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy. It is a true Sterling silver and contains 92.5% silver just as all other Sterling Silvers do, however it has many advantages over normal Sterling Silver. Traditional Sterling is made with a 7.5% copper alloy to give it enough hardness to create jewelry with. Argentium Sterling Silver instead has an alloy of Germanium. This means that Argentium Sterling Silver is extremely tarnish resistant, is somewhat harder to scratch, and does not cause allergies in for most people that are sensitive to Sterling Silver. Nearly everyone that suffers from allergy problems with traditional Sterling Silver find that they do not experience problems with Argentium Sterling Silver. Further, because Argentium Sterling Silver does not produce firescale, it does not require chemical treatments like traditional sterling silver does and therefore is far more environmentally friendly.
Stone quality/specs: High polish two-sided labradorite with excellent colorplay. Note that labradorite is a chatoyant (irridescent) stone. The colors are created by light refracting within layers in the stone, and so the colors you see depend on the viewing angle. Some stones only show color from some angles. Keep in mind that these photos are meant to try and show these colors. This is a great stone with colorplay from some angles.
Description: This is a really neat labradorite! The colors transition in bands down the surface to look like a sunrise over the ocean. From lovely amber-greens, to a swath of orange 'clouds', and finally a deep blue ocean. This pendant is designed to be two sided so that either side may be worn. The colorplay is stronger on side 1 than it is on side 2. Side 2 is more green. See the video!
