Materials: Solid Ocean Jasper and Argentium Sterling Silver.

Argentium Sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy. It is a true Sterling silver and contains 92.5% silver just as all other Sterling Silvers do, however it has many advantages over normal Sterling Silver. Traditional Sterling is made with a 7.5% copper alloy to give it enough hardness to create jewelry with. Argentium Sterling Silver instead has an alloy of Germanium. This means that Argentium Sterling Silver is extremely tarnish resistant, is somewhat harder to scratch, and does not cause allergies in for most people that are sensitive to Sterling Silver. Nearly everyone that suffers from allergy problems with traditional Sterling Silver find that they do not experience problems with Argentium Sterling Silver. Further, because Argentium Sterling Silver does not produce firescale, it does not require chemical treatments like traditional sterling silver does and therefore is far more environmentally friendly.

Stone quality/specs: Ocean Jasper cut in an oval shape with polish on all sides. Has a strong polish with no heavy flaws, but the stone has a natural inclusion line that looks like a shallow scratch.

Description: This was a pleasing stone I couldn't pass up. I found the colors and textures to be very mellow and calming, and so accented it with a few looping sprials and silver beads.

Recommended necklace size: This pendant does not come with a chain/necklace. This pendant will look nice on any size chain or collar.

Size: Please see above photo for dimensions. Pendant is pictured with a U.S. Dime for size reference. (Hint: if you are having a hard time picturing the size of this pendant, scale the above photo so that the dime is the size of a real dime on your screen. The pendant will then be at actual size.)
