Materials: Genuine, solid black Onyx and Argentium Sterling Silver.
Argentium Sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy. It is a true Sterling silver and contains 92.5% silver just as all other Sterling Silvers do, however it has many advantages over normal Sterling Silver. Traditional Sterling is made with a 7.5% copper alloy to give it enough hardness to create jewelry with. Argentium Sterling Silver instead has an alloy of Germanium. This means that Argentium Sterling Silver is extremely tarnish resistant, is somewhat harder to scratch, and does not cause allergies in for most people that are sensitive to Sterling Silver. Nearly everyone that suffers from allergy problems with traditional Sterling Silver find that they do not experience problems with Argentium Sterling Silver. Further, because Argentium Sterling Silver does not produce firescale, it does not require chemical treatments like traditional sterling silver does and therefore is far more environmentally friendly.
Stone quality/specs: An elegant marquise-cut black onyx. Onyx is a type of silicate, in the same group as Japser, Tiger's Eye, and agate. It is an opaque, solid black stone.
Description: Black onyx is a very classy elegant stone, and I tried to carry this across with the design of the silver. Due to a small miscalculation on my part, the prongs of silver holding the stone in place are very, very slightly uneven with one another. It is not very notable but if the asymmetry bothers you, bear this in mind. My mistake is your gain and I have priced this pendant well lower than I normally would have! This stone has a perfect polish.
Recommended necklace size: This pendant does not come with a chain/necklace. This pendant will look nice on any size chain or collar.
