Materials: Genuine, solid moonstone and Argentium Sterling Silver.

Argentium Sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy. It is a true Sterling silver and contains 92.5% silver just as all other Sterling Silvers do, however it has many advantages over normal Sterling Silver. Traditional Sterling is made with a 7.5% copper alloy to give it enough hardness to create jewelry with. Argentium Sterling Silver instead has an alloy of Germanium. This means that Argentium Sterling Silver is extremely tarnish resistant, is somewhat harder to scratch, and does not cause allergies in for most people that are sensitive to Sterling Silver. Nearly everyone that suffers from allergy problems with traditional Sterling Silver find that they do not experience problems with Argentium Sterling Silver. Further, because Argentium Sterling Silver does not produce firescale, it does not require chemical treatments like traditional sterling silver does and therefore is far more environmentally friendly.

Stone quality/specs: High polish moonstone with great colorplay. Note that moonstone is a chatoyant (irridescent) stone. The colors are created by light refracting within layers in the stone, and so the colors you see depend on the viewing angle. Some stones only show color from some angles. Keep in mind that these photos are meant to try and show these colors. This is a great stone with colorplay from many angles.

Description: This is a piece that refused to photograph well. I think it is due to the color of the flash; it's a very vivid, ethereal electric blue and rolls across the surface from several angles, both front and back. This stone is also translucent, which did not photograph well but it shows up on the video below. It can be worn with either side facing and is a very lovely, elegant piece. The polish is flawless.

Recommended necklace size: This pendant does not come with a chain/necklace. This pendant will look nice on any size chain.
