Materials: Genuine, solid Agate and Argentium Sterling Silver.
Argentium Sterling silver is a modern sterling silver alloy. It is a true Sterling silver and contains 92.5% silver just as all other Sterling Silvers do, however it has many advantages over normal Sterling Silver. Traditional Sterling is made with a 7.5% copper alloy to give it enough hardness to create jewelry with. Argentium Sterling Silver instead has an alloy of Germanium. This means that Argentium Sterling Silver is extremely tarnish resistant, is somewhat harder to scratch, and does not cause allergies in for most people that are sensitive to Sterling Silver. Nearly everyone that suffers from allergy problems with traditional Sterling Silver find that they do not experience problems with Argentium Sterling Silver. Further, because Argentium Sterling Silver does not produce firescale, it does not require chemical treatments like traditional sterling silver does and therefore is far more environmentally friendly.
Stone quality/specs: High polish agate. This type of agate is often referred to "crazy Lace" agate due to the amazing bands and crystalline patterns that form. Agate is a form of silicate that includes Tiger's eye, jaspers, onyx, chalcedony, etc.
Description: This is a pretty agate! The bands form an interesting pattern of blues and whites. The bottom part of the stone appears crystalline and is translucent. The polish only has one tiny tiny flaw, a simple natural pit in the stone smaller than a pinprick. It is only visible upon very close inspection.
Recommended necklace size: This pendant does not come with a chain/necklace. This pendant will look nice on any size chain.
Size: Please see above photo for dimensions. Pendant is pictured with a U.S. Dime for size reference. (Hint: if you are having a hard time picturing the size of this pendant, scale the above photo so that the dime is the size of a real dime on your screen. The pendant will then be at actual size.)
